I would recommend Core to anyone parent in the school district. With a small class size threw 8th grade, it has a strong sense of community.

Our children attended Core Knowledge for 5 years and we had mixed experiences. The vast majority of the teachers were outstanding and deeply dedicated to the success of the students. It has been a wonderful experience for our daughter and us as a family. She has excelled in many ways, academically as well as all round development . Amazing teachers, great leadership and great amount of parent involvement. CKCS challenges the children with outstanding results.

They have a problem with teacher retention and hiring experienced people. They are also not good at meeting the needs of kids who have special needs or considerations, more of a "one size fits all" policy. They do not address serious behavior issues that are dangerous to other kids in the classroom.
