GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have had some amazing teachers who truly care about my well being. They consistently ask how I am doing and they ask about my college plans. The worst part of attending Vinita High School was having to take tw advanced math classes in one year because the school I attended Freshman year didn't offer advanced math classes to very many students. So the negative part of my experience wasn't even caused by Vinita High. The marching band program needs to change. The students don't take it serious enough.

To be honest, I had an all around pretty okay time at Vinita. I was lucky to get to be involved in a few of our clubs and organizations (Student Council, FFA, NHS, and Academic Bowl) that make the school great. A lot of our organizations are able to do much more than the same ones in schools around us, which is really nice. Vinita also has a pretty good AP program, which is nice for advanced students because it allows them to make more rigorous classes while also having the chance to earn college credit. On the other hand, it is a public school, and I am not trying to pretend it is the most awesome place to be. Despite the obvious negatives, I mainly had the same teachers and they were the best Vinita had to offer, so I had a pretty nice experience.

The teachers work hard to make sure you know the material and see that you graduate. The students aren't the best behaved, but you can still get work done.
