My favorite part of William Byrd High school was the school spirit. There was a strong sense of community and the faculty who truly cared for the students. I enjoyed participating in the sports and leading my fellow students. I do think that there should be less parental influence on school aspects.

The best part were the sports coaches and the overall environment around sports and the town, My worst experience was the racist and discriminative actions of some of the students that i encountered.

William Byrd High School has been a place of familiarity and friendship and now I have just graduated. I don't have the exact words to explain what William Byrd has done for me but if I had to say anything about it, I would say that they always supported me. Administration and staff were always willing to help me and my family whenever required and were always so kind. The relationships I have built at this school will last a lifetime and no matter the ups and downs I have had throughout my high school career, I will be forever grateful to be called a Terrier.

Our son loves WBHS. The Marching Band program is well supported. Teachers are supportive when you reach out to communicate, otherwise, students and parents should watch grades on Blackboard and Parent Vue. Counselors are very responsive. I don’t understand some of these ratings; the school we moved...

I agree with the last reviewer -- the administration is not doing a good job, and has turned a deaf ear towards toxic mold in the building making students sick. In 2007, William Byrd tested positive for toxic mold -- the public was never fully informed of the toxic nature of testing. My son tested p...

Many good kids and caring teachers! Administration is a joke! Needs to be replaced! It's a three ring circus there!
