What I like most about William Byrd is the inclusivity of the school itself, mostly everyone here is accepted for who they are and there are hardly any major issues with school safety. Most of the Administration here at school care heavily for the safety of both staff and students, which is very important to me and makes me feel comforted knowing that my classmates' and I's safety will be placed foremost before anything else.

It is a great school! Of course no one or no thing is perfect but it overall is really good! Great people, great teachers, great principals! Sports are good and fun being with all the students pulling for our teams!

As a sophomore at WIlliam Byrd high-school, I have learned that taking academics seriously is very important. An example is my teachers. They have made a huge impact on my life by showing their passion for the subjects they teach and the kind-spirited, open minded ways they teach.

Our son loves WBHS. The Marching Band program is well supported. Teachers are supportive when you reach out to communicate, otherwise, students and parents should watch grades on Blackboard and Parent Vue. Counselors are very responsive. I don’t understand some of these ratings; the school we moved...

I agree with the last reviewer -- the administration is not doing a good job, and has turned a deaf ear towards toxic mold in the building making students sick. In 2007, William Byrd tested positive for toxic mold -- the public was never fully informed of the toxic nature of testing. My son tested p...

Many good kids and caring teachers! Administration is a joke! Needs to be replaced! It's a three ring circus there!
