In the time that I have attended Waco High school I have only had positive experiences. This school's community and teacher involvement is incredible and one of the many great things about this school. I have been lucky enough to be involved in nearly everything that this school has to offer from academics to sports and it is easy for me to say that I would not be the person that I am today without it. I have found it very easy to meet new friends and fit in at this school because everyone is welcoming. Overall this school has been absolutely amazing to me and has definitely prepared me for the future to come.

I liked the fact that we had no school on Fridays. It allowed us to take college classes instead. I think that WACO needs to improve on getting kids ready for college.

Waco is located in a community were the majority is Mennonite. The tolerance is fine and people aren't put down because they believe in something else, they just may not be as active in the community because of the close ties with church. The school atmosphere isn't intolerant and everyone gets along as long as nobody stirs the pot too much.

Although fitting in is nice and friendliness counts for something, It really had a clickish streak. The reunions are still managed by the "mean girls." Social life revolved, almost exclusively around who was homecoming queen and football quarterback. It also had a very chauvinist bent. Girls were pu...

I have found the staff and students at this school to be friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming to my 2 students who were new to the high school a couple years ago. The community is very tight knit and very focused on Waco as a whole. My teens moved here and basically "fit right in" with no problem!
