The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

It's an alright school. Many parents wouldn't want their kids attending here because of a bad representation in the past. A lot of people talk bad about this school and the students.

Two of the years I attended Nanakuli was during the pandemic. Considering it was a crazy time they created a great system for students to learn virtually. Upon returning back to face to face, the school has been struggling to get good staff. They definitely need to hire better counselors and teachers but with the limited amount of employee options, they are making due with what they have

Everyone has a place in Nanakuli no one ever feels left out and you would never see anyone sitting by themselves because everybody takes care of one another and always finds ways to out there differences aside and the school is a safe place for most students and our pride is higher than anything else but most importantly the teachers are kind and always find new learning techniques to help each student understand their lessons and ect there's nothing like nanakuli high school as we always say "once a golden hawk always a golden hawk". Also we all have great communication and always makes the best out of our school we may not have much in our school but we are always ready to share our aloha and help others before our selves
