As a former student of Waianae High School my experience there was almost bittersweet. I met two of my best friends there and loved playing volleyball for the school. However, safety is definitely in question sometimes. I wouldn't consider Waianae the safest school to attend, it did build character though.

This schools lacks many resources due to the deficit of money. Since my community is low-income, it is harder to receive certain things that other schools can.

My overall experience at Waianae High School was great. As I've entered into the real world I've realized that going to Waianae High School was a lack of academics. I was not prepared to step foot into college with the education I came from. I am struggling in college but am finding ways to overcome these challenges. with that being said you have to put yourself at a higher stander and remind yourself to be one of many to graduate from college as a kid from Waianae.

I Love this school more than any school I've ever been too. I am a proud Searider and I love this school. Being a student from that school is an honor, having the name as a Proud Searider is an honor and a privilege for me. I am grateful. I love this school and I love the Westside. W Foreva <3

My daughter attended this school for her first two years of high school. While I admit Waianae has unique challenges, I am proud of the school and what my daughter took out of her time there. I volunteer at this school and have to say the teachers I had the great pleasure of meeting are truly there...
