Waipahu High School was once considered a violent and "ghetto" school. However, over the past decades, the school has seen extreme advancement in academics, sports, and extracurricular activities. We are known for our Early College Program, Football and other varsity sports, and our amazing school spirit. We have become the second largest public high school in the state for a reason.

They are definitely a career and future focused campus. With many "academies" they provide courses that are like a trial to the careers. Overall, there are many amazing resources in both classes and staff. However, I think the school culture and campus itself can be improved.

Waipahu High School holds up to the reputation of being the best public school on the island of Oahu. As a student, you are presented with different academies you can be apart of during your school year. Each academy has its respected pathways, i.e Academy of Public and Professional Services has a business, culinary, law, & education pathway. Not only do they provide classes based upon what type of career you seek in the future, but provides lots of further education opportunities.

I was racially harassed at Waipahu High School during an entire class period, then brutally assaulted after class. I could find no one to help me during the attack.
