GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Walton-Verona has been a stellar experience for me. The teachers all love their jobs and assist students to the best of the abilities.

I moved to Walton-Verona my Sophomore year of high school and it was very hard moving to a whole different community. Walton-Verona High School helped me feel included into a new school by helping me learn and make new friends. It was very hard in the beginning, but I feel as if the change was meant to happen for me to help me grow and develop as a person. The only big thing I would change about the school is the diversity in the school. There is not a lot of diversity and I would love to see more of it, seeing as it is a small independent school. Other than that, the school is very opening and friendly to anyone that wants to join and be involved.

The academics here are very good but the student body tends to be very judgmental. There is a decent amount of diversity in terms of social class, but not so much otherwise.

I have 2 children that attend school there. It is a school with pride, in everything they do, from sports to academics. You get a private school ambiance in a public school setting. Parents have the opportunity to be involved in many activities. I am very impressed with how this school focuses on pr...
