Attending this school It can be some what overwhelming.. with exhibition night, students yelling, kids on their phone during class and off task and this can impact how motivated the teacher is to teach. This can impact the students ready to learn and want a challenge but they have to suffer because of kids who do under the bare minimum. I've been at this school since 9th grade and it seems like they are just going with the flow at this school as the years go on.. This school is lacking a lot of things. It's advertised on the website and instagram but when reality hits and you walk into that school it's a huge turn.. The schools academics aren't terrible but it could be more challenging. overall I would not recommend this school.

Templeton Academy is a perfect fit for both of my sons and our family has had a very positive experience there. The small class sizes are very helpful and have allowed my kids to feel more comfortable engaging in meaningful classroom discussions because they are not intimidated by speaking in front of a large group of students. The quarter system allows them to take a deep-dive into each subject and the school's proximity to the National Mall and other learning assets the city offers gives them the opportunity for hands-on learning experiences when they do fieldwork. All of the teachers are excellent and the administration and college counseling is first-rate. I highly recommend Templeton Academy.

When I first started Templeton Academy, I was miserable. It was a brand new experience for me I had only ever attended school where the rest of my peers were also minorities. I was very hostile. I've have been at Templeton since 9th and i'm now a junior. I wouldn't trade my school for the world, we have so many opportunities. The one on one is amazing and my teachers are always willing to give feedback. Every time I'm talking about my school to anyone I get the same reaction, "sounds like college". I love the freedom because it's teaching me to be more independent. Im so grateful for Templeton and recommend this school to everyone ! 10/10
