GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I really have enjoyed being at the high school. Most of the teachers are great and a number of the students aren't too bad either. It's a bit difficult with the fact that the school doesn't have enough money for things like art and such, but I still quite enjoy it here. Much better than my last school.

My experience in my school has been very good. I enjoy the small school setting but I wish they would have more AP classes available as well as a greater variety of classes. I was fortunate enough to have FFA within my school since eighth grade where many other schools do not have that opportunity. I also enjoy having the smaller class sizes allowing the teachers to have more opportunities to help students one on one. That is very important in making sure the students are more successful. If i could i think it would be beneficial for my school to be able to update the classrooms as well as well as the campus. Also our library is in need of an update the books are very old and most of them are falling apart.

There are only 5 high school teachers but they genuinely care about the students and always help us when we need them to.

I have no idea how Waukomis High School has an A rating. It is as bad as you can get. I graduated from here recently. The teachers do not do anything. The administration is awful. The whole school is corrupted. They do not prepare you for college AT ALL. I wrote two papers in the two years I attende...
