GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Although Waupun Area Senior Highschool is a great academic school and has very great facilities it does lack some key components of a school that are important to me. A major missing piece for me is that the school lacks diversity and representation of diversity amongst the school culture. I am a mixed teen girl and I am one of very few minorities at our school. throughout high school I do think I was treated differently in certain situations based on my race and political views. I am the leader of the brand new group S E L T, student equity leadership team. being the president of this club has gotten me lots of backlash from my classmates but it has also given me a chance to shine a light and some of the major racial issues and sexuality issues that are happening throughout our school. My school does not do a lot to change, and I wish that they would put more resources time and effort into educating not only students but also staff about racial injustice and overall equity.

There was hardly any preparation for college. Many teachers try to leave even before the students as well. There are a few great teachers, but overall, not a great school.

Overall, I have had a high positive high school experience here. It is very cliquey at times but that is bound to happen with a small school. The sports are excellent. However, I wish they offered more advanced class opportunities while I was in school. After I graduate they are adding more AP and honors classes.
