The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have a love hate relationship with Waynesboro High School. I like going to school and learning, the school is clean, the food is good, the teachers are good and nice. Sometimes I get a teacher who does not always teach and food that does not always taste the best, but I feel safe in the school and have had an overall positive experience at Waynesboro high school.

I have not been at this school for very long, but while I was there I can say that I was able to enjoy it. The acedemics and classes that I chose really benefited me and prepared me for classes that I am planning to take in college. The friends that I made were nice and ones that I plan to stay friends with for a long time. The teachers and faculty were very understanding and helpful when asked. The clubs and sports were very inclusive and kind to new and inexperienced members as well as returning members. There is notthing I would like to see change at Waynesboro Area Senior High School because I think that it was a great school to attend.

Our school is unique because unlike many schools around us we opened at the bringing of the school year for fully in-person classes during the 2020-2021 school year. Our school made this decision due to the high number of low-income students who struggle without school as a safe haven. An in-person school option allowed our students to benefit from free school-provided lunches, in-person support from our teachers, and peer interaction.

2023 was my first year at WASH. The student and teachers are friendly and polite. Although the school is predominantly white, I am starting to notice more diversity. Also, I never had a problem fitting in or making friends.

This school use to be a gem in Franklin County. Over the past few years, Waynesboro has become one of (if not the) worst schools in the county. This is due to changes in administration at all levels. The current administration does not care about the low moral of students or staff. They ask for the...
