As a young black student, it was hard to really by myself there. Most teachers can't grasp who I am or understand what I go through. It was teachers like Mr. McAndrew, Mr. Costa, and Mr, Shields that made school a much better place. In addition, I was a football player and don't where I'd be without the guidance from head coach Jason Morrell.

WD is a great school and district overall the staff at WDHS is always helpful and kind and never seems to fail any student in a time of need. Personally I have meant and became close with several teachers as all of them have positive attitudes all 4 years there. The students them self are extremely close. Being a smaller school allows for interaction that can last a lifetime. Many of the students become friends for life and even keep interaction with teachers and staff for life which is an amazing experience and life long family.

My son learned a great deal, not only education wise, but social skills and forming his own thoughts about different aspects of living.
