ESUMS lets students lead is a way that is refreshing. I am a part of the Principal's Advisory Committee and have established multiple programs within the school to help improve my community.

ESUM provides a quality, college preparatory education with an emphasis on science and math. Like all schools, there are struggles but if a parent/child are invested in education I have found that staff and teachers alike work to ensure children's needs are being met.

I've been going to ESUMS since I was in 6th grade and it is not a terrible school, but it is not the best school. The academics are great 10/10 but the kids & the environment? Horrible, the teachers? Average not the best. There were many times when I felt like I wasn't learning anything that would be useful to prepare me for the real world. It's primarily based on academics.

Honestly, this school is complete garbage. Every day people have been racist toward each other and teachers turn a blind eye when it happens. I barely learn everything even though we get unheard of amounts of work on a daily basis. The only good thing about the school is that they have metal detecto...

The only positive parts of this school are the outside opportunities that come along with going to ESUMS. Students can take college classes after school at UNH, there are clubs outside of school meant for new haven public schools at Yale and downtown New Haven. Those parts of this school are the bes...

As a student this is the worst school I have ever been to in my entire life. Its very demanding and it feels like a literal jail. I feel that this school is way to strict on the students and the staff doesn't care about the students wants and needs at all. Instead they focus on putting in more and m...
