Good and supportive teachers that encourage you and help you do your best. A negative are the students, but we're teenagers so it's expected.

I loved my time there. Since it is such a small school, the staff was really able to make more personal relationships with each kid.

West Jefferson High School was a great place to go to high school. It was very small and the atmosphere was amazing (especially on Friday Nights during football season). Everyone knew everyone and therefore I had so many friends. The only thing I would change about the high school is the way they prepare us for college. Because we are a very tiny school we do not get the preparation for college as the larger schools.

This school is pretty average for a small town. From what I’ve seen as a student the education is very basic and doesn’t encourage excitement in learning amongst the students. It's a wonderful school if you like football/cheerleading. Football is a huge money maker. Parents are nice. There have been serious budget cuts that have effected the curriculum. If you are considering sending your children to this school, you should think seriously about it and visit the archives...
