Teachers are what takes a school from average to great, and most of the teachers I experienced were kind and dedicated to making sure their students understood the class material while forming personal connections.

What I loved about my school most was being apart of the football program. It was much more then football to me. My favorite part was the mentoring aspect where we mentored younger kids. I learned so much from the coaches about life in general how to lead and how to just be a better person.

What I liked at West Jefferson High School is that it's a small school so you know everyone and you could get one on one time. Something I would change about West Jefferson High School is more parent involvement with things!

This school is pretty average for a small town. From what I’ve seen as a student the education is very basic and doesn’t encourage excitement in learning amongst the students. It's a wonderful school if you like football/cheerleading. Football is a huge money maker. Parents are nice. There have been serious budget cuts that have effected the curriculum. If you are considering sending your children to this school, you should think seriously about it and visit the archives...
