Overall WLHS is a well rounded school. Majority of the the teachers are passionate about the subject they teach and are willing to help. There are a lot of after school tutors too, and there are a lot of different ways you can get involved in the school community whether through sports or clubs. Over the last few years, WLHS has been getting more diverse student body, which is nice to see.

It's not easy to find a lot of problems w/ this school - the athletics and art programs are consistently some of the best in the state, and the teachers and students are motivated. The size of the school (there are almost 2000 students, and there are hardly enough classrooms to handle it) and the lack of diversity are two of the glaring weaknesses.

I'm shocked that this school keeps making the top of rankings, but we are talking about Oregon. Student. 1964 grad. WLHS provided me with fantastic stem prep for college. Did AP calculus, when unknown, and freshman engineering class at OSU few had any calculus. Career in Mechanical Engineering and felt well prepared

Great high school in a great school district. Kids are challenged and get a great education. Many opportunities to join sports teams/clubs. Counselors are super helpful and knowledgeable about college planning.
