Some teachers and administration are more helpful than others. The athletics are pretty good, but I did not feel like I was getting a good enough education unless I was taking as many APs as I could handle. And I don't think the teachers and counselors are too educated on out of state colleges or scholarships in general.

I loved my experience at west Monroe high school. I would like to see west monroe preparing kids for the ACT better. Like giving a lot of ACT practice tests and teaching ACT concepts in classes.

The best parts of my time at West Monroe mainly came from my dual enrollment classes. The worst would be my first years here when I did not have advanced classes and the teachers didn't care as much.

A SCHOOL/ COMMUNITY FOUNDED ON RACISM! Josie Barton - the captain of the cheer team - and her friends recorded themselves saying that they have to lock their car doors because they were in “niggerville” while giggling. Since then, this has resurfaced a lot of issues with the school such as the schoo...

As I read all the other comments most of them were saying that all West Monroe cares about it football. I completely disagree. Yes football is a very big part west monroe, but almost all the students love it and love supporting there team. But west monroe is huge on academic. I am a senior there is...

I am very pleased with the education and social skills my children learned while attending WMHS. They were very well prepared to attend LSU in Baton Rouge, and scored above average on the ACT which is a reflection in the quality of the teachers instructing our children. They care about the students...

The focus of this school is not academics or even the well being of all students. My daughter was beat up and while I pressed charges on the child who did the actual beating, the school refused to do anything about the child who video'd the event! I was told she was a honors student who had never be...
