GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The people in the building made me feel welcomed and accepted which is the opposite of what i felt in middle school. I enjoyed how most people were bubbly and the staff never gave me issues and I enjoyed all of my teachers personalities. I wish the school would pay for air conditioning because the heat could be distracting in the classrooms for us. Football games and homecoming games were always a memorable experience.

Honestly a great education, yet very difficult environment. The school has high standards, and coming from a student who was in the top 10%, it is a struggle to reach them. I had to work extra hard and spend hours to educate myself on topics I did not understand the first time to maintain my GPA. The extra activities are wonderful though, they try to involve every student.

I like the Westhampton Beach school because it is a school where there is a lot of diversity, everyone together always knows how to share, I had so many incredible experiences like in sports, meeting new people, sharing emotions, getting good grades in classes and always following my dreams. I had beautiful experiences with the teachers and the students. When I first arrived at Westhampton Beach High School, I felt that everyone was missing me. At the age of 14, I arrived at that place that was strange to me because I had moved to another country. where I didn't know anyone, the school where I thought everyone would be ignorant but it was the opposite, there I learned to be an intelligent, dependent person, and I also learned what true friendship is and how to share with other people, teachers and students. directors were people who gave me all their support so that I could move forward and so far I have reached my goals and my dreams.

TL:dr WHB isn’t better than other schools out east and don’t prioritize being in the district I attended the elementary, middle, and high school here recently. WHB is not “good” just because schools out east (Southampton, East Hampton, Hampton Bays) may be a bit weaker (debatable). WHB is better tha...

This school is by far one of the best schools in Suffolk County. It has a high graduation rate - high college acceptance rate - offers many AP courses - has expanded it's special education and ENL programs - and promotes kindness and inclusivity throughout the district. I am a parent of a special ed...

Experienced racism, discrimination and general lack of compassion or willingness to address these issues by school board or superintendent.
