GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It is a pretty good school. There could just be a lot better things. There is some things that aren't really safe sometimes the outside doors of the school do not lock. But other than that pretty good.

My experience has been mixed. While I have enjoyed some of my time here, I also have often been lied to or put behind just because I am more academically gifted than some of the other students. Our administrators believe that the more intelligent can handle all school related things by ourselves with very limited administrative guidance.

Our school definitely has some pros, but it could be much better. We lack staff, range of academic courses, and there is not a lot of extra money to better the student environment. However, we have very good culture, sports, and Principal.

I'm a parent, and I feel very lucky to have my kids attend L.C.H.S. I appreciate the education my kids are receiving. I also like it that they can be involved in a lot of extra-curricular clubs--not just sports. The teachers seem to really care, and they work to see that the students are successful.

I just recently graduated from Lewis County High School, and that school was a complete joke. There's no other way to put it. I came to college completely unprepared because the teaching is horrendous. The authority there is completely misused as well. I had a problem with a teacher my senior year a...

I am really pleased with the improvements to our school. Our faculty really strives to improve the overall experience for our students. Our students have achieved much success in and out of school. Test scores are steadily improving. It is a nice place to work. I have worked in several other schools...
