The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

I like that our school is small because the teachers can focus on your studies and your goals. I also think that it's easier to make friends in a smaller school than in a bigger school. Something that I think should be changed is the clubs. I think we should have more clubs and activities for students that are interested in other things besides sports.

Ocosta High School has so many great teachers that have taught me invaluable lessons. Being that it is a small school, I was able to participate in multiple clubs and sports at the same time. The only downside is that there are not many AP or honor classes available to the students.
As a highschool freshman, I have seen worse schools, however it feels unwelcoming to people who didn't grow up in such a tiny area, much like myself. Only some of the staff care about students while the rest care about last night's game or coaching a sport. It isn't friendly to families that aren't...
My family & I are new to the Westport area, and our 13 yr. old son is currently enrolled in the Ocosta Jr./High School, and so far I have been very impressed and amazed with the teachers, and the district. We we're very skeptical at first, with reading some of the older reviews, but to date, as a fa...
Ocosta School district currently has the worst administration ever at the high school level. The principal should have been fired several times over for misconduct but the school board and superintendent are intimidated by him. This school is in bad shape because of his awful leadership.
Ocosta is a great place to get a quality education. All three of my children graduated with honors and went on to four year universities, where they did very well. Ocosta has caring teachers that go out of their way to help students succeed. The only way not to succeed at this school is to not try o...
