Located in the Westside Park neighborhood, Westside Atlanta Charter School serves approximately 300 students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Westside Atlanta Charter is a free, public charter school governed by an autonomous nonprofit board of directors. The school does not have any academic requirements for enrollment. However, all students must reside within the Atlanta Public Schools zone with enrollment determined by a lottery system. Westside Atlanta Charter School was established by residents living in west Atlanta to increase educational equity in the fast-growing westside neighborhoods. The school places diversity at the forefront of its mission and promotes an environment of inclusivity and belonging. This school offers a Gifted and Talented Education program for intellectually advanced students and ensures all students have access to technology along with the needed technical education to support their learning. Kindergarten through second-grade students work on iPads while third through eighth-grade students work on Chromebooks. Westside Charter also champions parental involvement and participation to ensure student success and a commitment to lifelong learning.

I am a parent of two children at Westside. Both children love this school and both have been at Westside since they were in kindergarten. Westside focuses on the whole child. They make sure all children are heard and feel valued. I wouldn't want my children to be anywhere else.

Westside is a great school. My child loves it here! The teachers are caring and nurturing. The building is very welcoming. The kids interact with each other as if they are family and I love that about Westside.

Westside provides my student and family with invaluable resources and support that have exceeded my expectations. The staff and parents provide a safe and diverse learning environment and experiences that prepares our students with the tools to thrive and succeed. I am excited to see the continued development and growth of the school.

This school is the best Charter in the APS district, in our opinion, and we've been in the city for 13 years. This school really focuses on developing the whole child. I've attended Westside since kindergarten, and every time a new student comes, they immediately are welcomed and make friends quickly. I recommend this school.

We love Westside! This school doesn’t just focus on supporting and including students while they’re on campus. We have had a fantastic experience at Westside. The teachers are fantastic and really go above and beyond to support the students. The administration is always available and responsive, and there is a great community of families. I highly recommend Westside!
