I appreciate the resources they had available. But when it comes to the administration, Westside was lacking. There were multiple safety incidents that involved law enforcement, and all of them tried to get brushed aside. There are some amazing teachers, but the general environment is declining.

The school's academics are fantastic; they utilize module scheduling which was very effective at preparing me for college. The athletics are also extremely competitive.

Overall, I enjoyed my experience at westside high school. They have a lot of extracurricular opportunities, and their culture lends itself to school spirit and involvement.

Love the Westside school district. Teachers and administration is excellent. They are better funded than OPS and have high standards for the children & parents. If your child isn't academically inclined or you have no interest in having an active roll in your child's education, go somewhere else. If...

Westside does a good job of elevating hard working children and teenagers, and prepares them to excel at the next level. It provides excellent opportunities for those who are willing to take advantage of the opportunities
