They could definitely do more for cleanliness. Other than that, the school is a very nice environment and help is always available if you need it.

Wethersfield High School, overall, was a good experience for me. My freshman year was organized in cohorts during covid, and I'm more than happy that we were able to get back to normal. The school building itself is renovated and updated, and the school lunch is really good. I think the free lunch program has definitely benefit hundreds of families including mine, and I consider it a great use of the budget. I have made countless connections with teachers, and in all my years have only had bad experiences with one or two. As for college preparation, I think there is room for improvement in this area. I was completely unaware of the SRAR, and was emailed by the college that I had missed the early action deadline because of it. We discussed college in advisory, but I don't think it was very effective. Sports facilities are great. Another room for improvement is our school computers. They make doing work frustrating and slow, as they are so outdated. Overall, I've had a good experience.

As a new parent, I have found Wethersfield High School to be a very welcoming school community with an excellent course selection and very modern facilities (as it is a newer building). The entire Wethersfield Public Schools system is nothing but a joke if you want your kids to actually learn something go elsewhere. Trust me I went K-12 and was always treated like an idiot.
