For such a small town and school I think the school offers a lot of sports and clubs. The teachers have all been fairly nice and welcoming. Academically they keep to the states' standards. I will say they've reported the food is not good and they'd like to bring lunch instead. Generally speaking my children have liked attending here.

All 3 of my children went to Whigham from K - 8 and received an excellent education. Sadly, the county is poorly funded and they have to do a lot of fund raisers, but they have an active PTO that helps fund much needed school improvements.

I cannot imagine my children going to any other school. It is a blessing to be able to have my children attend a school that recognizes gifts and does their best to help each child meets his/her full potential. This community that supports these students, the parents that support these students and...

A lot of money has to be spent by the parents. The cost of instrument rentals is crazy. Some kids are really talented and end up having to quit because it is either pay a bill or rent an instrument. Very sad for children who have talent and very sad for parents to watch their children suffer.
