This is an outstanding elementary school, however current principal Chad Nelson has quickly tainted it. Chad Nelson has been quoted “I will get those 5th grade boys”. How disgusting. We are very happy with our kids experiences at Richards. They address the whole kid and don’t put too much focus on standardized testing.

Due to the high education level of the community, the student population skews to the gifted/talented crowd and they perform very well. I would say the school leaves a lot of potential on the table and doesn't push students hard enough.

Richards is ok. Most kids do well there. But many other schools in the area would be better for kids with special needs.
