Overall, Wilmington High School is a perfectly adequate public school for your average middle to upper middle class family. The teachers and faculty are mostly good with some standouts who can truly make your experience worth while. Unfortunately, although WHS does offer a good selection of AP and honors classes, they lack some of the higher level courses that some students may wish to take such as Calc BC and Physics C, although this is to be accepted for a public school of this size.

Conflicts in the school are not handled the best, and sometimes the whole school suffers the consequences of someone else's actions. There are many different classes but for some the teacher doesn't even know what they are teaching.

Some of the teachers are fantastic, and most really care about the students, but the quality of education isn't the highest level. I also wish the music department was more robust.

Although Covid was poorly come about, overall the system of learning is good. But, I recommend they focus on helping the students excel more who are able to, and allowing the other students to be placed in a different class or curriculum.

Great school! My children attended Wilmington High School a few years ago; they all went off to college after graduating. I can’t think of any negatives about the – School - Teachers - Staff. The new state of the art Wilmington High School opened up in 2015. They had an open house tour before openin...

They have a long way to go before they are "21st Century" teachers. They teach the basics and hold back students who excel! The Administration is very weak and it appears that the teachers and students run the school.
