it was a pretty decent school, I feel ahead in my math and English classes in college thanks to the building blocks from this school.

There is a very strong sense of community in the high school with strong commitment from students and teachers. Many families do supplement education with external resources.

Had a good preparation for college as was in the college tract. Female Guidance counselor was useless. She told me to go to secretarial school after being out the majority of sophomore year due to repeated surgeries. Had tutors and went to Summer School to bring grades up to a B. Went back after graduation from college from Boston University with honors and left a copy of my degree and transcript on her desk. The continuing problem then and now us lack of diversity in the student population. The ridiculous amount of housing costs us keeping minorities out of this town.

As others have stated, most teachers do not seem to care about the students themselves but rather outcomes. Again, if your child is at the top then no worries, forget about it if they need any sort of 504, or god forbid IEP, the school will actively negate you and become oppositional. They are letti...

The other reviews on this page are old and somewhat outdated. Winchester High School has been in a newly renovated building since 2018.
