For being in such a rural area this school has far outshone what could have been expected of them in their academics and STEM programs. It's not perfect, but for the location and size of the student body, I think this school did an amazing job with the resources it has.

Teachers at this school really focus on students individual needs. They are very helpful in bring students along, and making us ready for life after highschool.

Winfield High School is the first school in Alabama to be stem-certified. My experience was very enjoyable. I participated in the marching band and the winter guard. I was very blessed to come from a more financially well-off school. We had many opportunities and an abundance of resources available.

Be cautious here. This is a very small town with an outdated minimal high school curriculum. There will be no in between, you will either love it or be miserable. They are not receptive to outsiders or any cultural diversity whatsoever. On the positive side, with it being such a small school it does...
