I used to attend WCHS, and it wasn't the best experience. The clique society at Winfield is the absolute worst. However, WCHS has been improving its academics and a lot of the teachers are passionate about their work.

I graduated, in '06, back when Winfield was a the top of it's game. Which Winfield can't be to blame for the lowering of standards. When I was in school all the testing was harder and getting scholarships was nearly impossible without high scores. Now you can get a scholarship for just about anything.

Winfield has a broad range of extracurriculars. First, we have National Honors Society. We also have Key club, Habitat for Humanity, FCCLA, FBLA, Leo club, and Skills USA. Teachers are more than welcome to come help us with the clubs. We do a lot of field trips with these clubs. For example, we went to Children's Hospital with FCCLA to deliver treat bags. We help the Angel Tree program and the local children's homes with Leo club. It is a lot of fun for me to give back and help the community through these clubs.

Be cautious here. This is a very small town with an outdated minimal high school curriculum. There will be no in between, you will either love it or be miserable. They are not receptive to outsiders or any cultural diversity whatsoever. On the positive side, with it being such a small school it does...
