This school might just be the only school in the world where the administration is against you. From my experiences at Hanes, the faculty has constantly tried to put people in ISS (In School Suspension) for so many different things. One time my friend threw a bag of chips and was given a day of ISS for that. Is that the best punishment for that? I personally think this school is awful from a student inside and if you are a parent of a 5th grader, I strongly don't think you should send your soon to be middle schooler here.

I wish I had never enrolled him in this school and there is now way in the world I will let him go back another year. If I have to homeschool him to avoid him going back, I will.

There are constant fights and disruptions. The kids are crammed 25 to 30 in a classroom. If 2 or 3 kids are bad then any kids in the general vicinity are caught up and get in trouble too.

I have gone to Hanes all 3 years..Never in my life have I been so excited to leave a place. The cafeteria lunch is always old, the cafeteria itself is old, basically, the whole school is due for a remodel. Hanes is a great school, except for the perfidious snakes here. I am HAG, and trust me if your child ain’t- they will treat you like beggars… Bathrooms are better for HAG, teachers have brain and they nurture us(applicable to HAG.) Hanes isn't a perfect school, but some of the reviews on this site are not accurate. I'm a teacher at Hanes. The previous review that claimed HAG students got a field trip to go bowling "just because" is not true. Every time there is an olympics, our school has a STEM olympics. All homerooms compete...
