I like my school because is very quiet and everyone is there to learn. I've been in different schools were all the students want is to skip class; in this school is not like that. I remember, in my last school, I used to be terrorized to go to the main office (not because the staff were bad people, but because my anxiety would always made me feel like I would fail just by speak), in this school, I feel comfortable. The staff is very close with the students and even take the time to make them feel heard and that their opinion matter.

I am a senior at chain of lake collegiate high school and it is a great stepping stone for those who wish to further their academic career beyond a high school diploma. It is a con that those who attend do not get the "high school experience" but the staff work really hard to get students involved and come up with bonding ideas for the students.

COL is a great school if you are wanting the college experience for free. The teachers are all great, and the teachers on the Polk State side are also very nice. The lack of clubs is a detriment, but COL has recently gotten free lunch for all students.
