Nestled on a tree-lined block surrounded by three lakes, Inwood Elementary School is a beloved neighborhood school that has served Downtown Winter Haven for nearly 100 years. With a mission to create a safe and positive learning environment for almost 350 students, Inwood Elementary offers a welcoming atmosphere for kindergarten through 5th grade children. Its convenient location allows most children to walk to school and many start their day with a nutritious breakfast in the cafeteria, provided free of charge. The 14-1 student-teacher ratio is better than the district average, allowing children to receive the attention they need to succeed. Other credentialed staff members, including a psychologist, social worker and mental health facilitator are also available and eager to offer additional guidance and comfort. A monthly, school-wide event commemorates students who have made the most significant positive impact on their peers and instructors. This further supports the school's mission of creating an encouraging learning environment. In addition, this cozy neighborhood school also promotes parental involvement, which proves to be a vital factor in the success of its students. An integral part of the Downtown Winter Haven community, this accessible and dedicated elementary school is ideal for those who want a caring school within walking distance of their home.

I’ve have excellent experiences at this schools. The kids are typically very good kids and the majority of the staff are excellent teachers who work extremely hard for their students.
