Serving children in kindergarten through 8th grade, this growing yet fully accredited school focuses on each student's spiritual and educational growth. With multi-age, multi-grade classrooms, this academy in downtown Winter Haven fosters a close-knit, welcoming community among teachers, parents and children. Operating in harmony with the guidance and direction of the Office of Education of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, the Winter Haven Adventist Academy strives to help students develop spiritually and establish a strong sense of self in relation to the world around them. Certified Christian instructors and a student-teacher ratio of 10-1 allow this fledgling academy to provide the perfect setting for children needing personalized attention. With teachers customizing coursework to the needs of each child, students readily develop and progress at their own pace. Winter Haven Adventist Academy also emphasizes computer technology, seamlessly woven into all subject areas. Each child is provided with a laptop or iPad for in-school use and is encouraged to safely explore and learn from various online resources. Relying on a biblical philosophy that emphasizes scriptural studies and character development, this nurturing school offers the perfect learning environment for the children of the Seventh-day Adventist community.
