Over 800 local students take the next step in their education at Grandville Middle School, a welcoming environment serving seventh and eighth grade students from the surrounding Grandville, Michigan area. Situated in the Wedgewood Park neighborhood, the school’s community is home to spacious parks, creekside trails and numerous local activities and events.
In addition to core academic courses, students also have many non-core course options including communications, creative writing, consumer education, world languages and science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Student clubs include student council, yearbook, art club and more. Student athletes can participate in volleyball, cross country, basketball, swim and dive, track and field, basketball, cheering, tennis and soccer. Nearby, Wedgewood Park invites are residents to enjoy time outside. The Buck Creek Trail connects to the middle school parking lot and offers easy access to recreational opportunities. As part of the Grandville landscape, Grandville Middle School students enhance the community with theatrical performances, live music concerts and art shows.

I've enjoyed my years here at GMS, leaving it was hard but it really prepared me for high school and I've learned to be a better committed individual because of the atmosphere. There were three teachers here that further inspired me to be a teacher, for that I'm so grateful. I think that student involvement and a "family-like" atmosphere can be better work on but other than that, GMS is terrific and thriving.

This is not a good choice for a student who may not be very self directed. Students all have chrome books, and assignments and tests are emailed to the student!
