The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The teachers don't really care about you and if you pass or fail, some do but it's rare and most don't. The science department has really good teachers though. The school just isn't that great at all for getting ready for college or for just learning in general. The only good thing honestly is the sports and science teachers. And a few math teachers.

I feel fortunate to have attended Xenia Community Schools since kindergarten. I have had the opportunity to participate in gifted student programming and honors classes. These courses have prepared me for college. I have been fortunate to have caring teachers that go above and beyond. I have been a student athlete and participated in honor society and student council. Three are all experiences that I will think of positively when I look back on my high school experience.

I would like to see better teaching and better counselors for the mental health. What I do like about the school is that they do keep the kids in after school activities and it's always great activities. I feel like far as teaching it needs to be worked on more and more one on one help. Kids needs help on learning more about life make sure they know about the black history let them know they can do whatever they put there mind to half of the kids not getting that at home n not getting the love or support they need at home they should feel that at school

We were reluctant at first to enroll our kids here after moving from the south. However, we have had nothing but a great experience thus far! The teachers and faculty have been caring and accommodating. Plenty of graduates go on to major universities and D-II schools. I would say the scores reflect...

Xenia High School has a great many things going for it. The staff cares about its students, and nearly every teacher tries to support student learning and student success in as many ways as possible. There are signs that the administrators want to make the school more responsive to the needs of the...

Personally, I don't think most of these questions here really give XHS justice. The entire time I went there, I never felt like I was getting a bad education or an inferior one to other schools around the area. I even had a few friends who had transferred from Beavercreek and Centerville and said th...

My school experience was poor. Going to Xenia was probably my parents biggest mistake in my educational career. I am now attending The Ohio State University and am aware of how different education could be. If the school were ran with the purpose of preparing students for the future and not being st...
