I've been going to Pittston Area since I was a kid. It's a great school, and you learn about the school's history, as you have been here for quite a while. You learn to adapt to the way each teacher teaches the students. Sometimes it may be difficult, considering I've had to do summer school my freshman year for english because that was the first time the teacher ever taught English since she was only a French teacher. Over the years, I've learned to focus on my grades for school and to ask teachers if I ever needed help. Overall Pittston Area has been the best school that I've ever been to.

It was a fine experience, but it was lacking in resources and help for college. High schools should teach how to apply and find scholarships, how to apply for student loans, and how to write good college scholarship essays.

The only thing about Pittston Area that I would like to see change would be an increase in support for the arts (musical, theater, etc.), as there isn't a whole lot of support for it, unlike other schools in the area that actually have a support for the arts.

In all these years, only 1 teacher has reached out to me with a concern/feedback about my child. In elementary school there might be a comment...

We were looking to move to area to be closer to our family and invest in the community. I had some concerns due to a family members horrifying story of bullying, racism and the lack of urgency to protect children. I spoke to the superintendent, he was great and very responsive. He had the principal...
