My experience at Yoncalla High School had many highs and lows. Being a small school, the student to teacher ratio is close to 10:1. This meaning there is a lot of one on one time where you can get the assistance you need. As a small school, funding is scarce so the opportunity to do more is limited, however I believe they did a wonderful job of preparing students and allowing duel-credit and outside courses to be taken.

The student to teacher ratio is excellent. There are very few students that attend and a very limited amount of extra curricular and creative classes. There is no art and few sports. There are opportunities to take college classes online as well as foreign language online. The school has programs for students that apply for free or reduced lunch. There is not much diversity to speak of. The building condition is also poor. The roof in the gym leaks and there is mostly no heat throughout the school. It is great for a good education academically. The teachers are excellent and very fun. The students that attend all love it even with its quirks.

We have a program called Peer Power which helps us get rid of bullying and helps students understand how to accept other students. We are a very small school, we are more like a big family. We accept anyone that walks through the front door.

Great small school. Limited options but they do their best, which is usually quite good.

This is a terrible school. The teachers, principal, and staff do absolutely nothing to stop bullying and sexual harassment. Horrible things happened to me here, stuff was written on walls about me, I was sexually harassed in front of the principal multiple times...none of it mattered, and nothing wa...

Boy's Basketball Coach is terrible. He makes it an effort to not communicate with certain parents. He is into coaching to have a winning record. Kids should be able to play for fun win or lose. Coach doesn't see it that way. He is a Biased coach. Which we will never support him or his business.
