During my time at West York I did feel like I was academically ready to go onto college. Coming from a school that didn't teach me much (there were little resourses) it was a huge changing coming to west york. I felt safe and teachers actually cared about their students learning. I will say I did feel out of place being only one of the few minorities.

Teachers are kind and supportive. Students are friendly. There are numerous opportunities to get involved through clubs, sports, and other activities.

I'd like to see more opportunities to prepare you for college. For example scholarships the school offers, more dual enrollment opportunities, early start programs, fundraisers to go towards your college.

I am at a loss for words the experience I had with the High school. Very unprofessional .The principle and assistant principal shouldn't be in the positions they are in.

It was a bad experience for me. It is not a very diverse place at all so when you look different, everyone notices and you are treated differently!! I only lasted 4 months at this high school before I transferred to online. I’ve never heard more racial slurs in my life

I attended WYHS and graduated in 2007, went onto earn my BA and MFA. I had a wonderful experience.
