YCDS is a family. Everyone at school knows everyone. You know everyone by name, and you have friends in grades above and below you.

York Country Day School is a great college prep school. The teachers really care and are super involved with the students. And with school class size being so intimate, you don't really go a day without someone asking about you and know what's going on.

We are new parents to the school, thus far our experience has been very positive. The teachers clearly love their job and the children. The curriculum is engaging and fun. I would recommend this school to any parent.

My children are very intelligent and like a challenge. I love to see them stretch, academically, athletically, musically etc. This school fits the bill for me. My granddaughter has been attending this school since age 3, I cannot imagine her going anywhere else. Her education and support of thereof has been wonderful. The teachers and staff here really care about the student AND his/her family.

My daughter has been at YCDS since preschool and will be entering 4th grade next year. She is supported and challenged in all aspects. My 15 year-old son spent5 months as an exchange student from Germany at YCDS. He loved this school, the teachers ,the other students .....! They all did a fantastic job . Thank you so much !
