Since its inception in 1963, York Suburban Middle School has been committed to student excellence. This middle school, which is in the residential section of Haines Acres of East York, Pennsylvania, houses grades 6-8 students who usually continue their education at either York Suburban High School or York County School of Technology. The school has over 650 students with a student-to-teacher ratio of 13-to-1.
York Suburban Middle School students are exposed to a robust curriculum that includes mathematics, English Language Arts, French, German, band, chorus, applied technology and more. This school attracts many experienced educators who are instrumental in propelling student test scores into the top 50% of all schools in Pennsylvania. The high achievement continues into the sports realm as the York Suburban Middle School Trojans defeat their opponents in over a dozen different sports.
York Suburban Middle School is largely set apart by the dedicated parents who volunteer through the Parent Student Organization to support the school in a variety of ways, from coordinating donations to operating food drives.

8th graders get to go on Internet through the use of school Chromebooks and WiFi while unsupervised at school or home and look up sites that are not educational, moral, or positive. The students can use WiFi connections within the local community if not secure and randomly search whatever they want....
