The education is great. However, the response to the students needs or necessary breaks is often ignored. We are regularly overworked but the outcome is educationally and financially good. Many of us received full rides due to our grades and college readiness. Overall, they invest in our education rather than mental health but I wouldn't change my experiences because now i'm free of college debt and have a good work ethic.

Horrible experience. No support from administrators/teachers for 1st year students. School is praised for their "sisterhood" environment but yet new students are made to feel isolated and most students were not friendly. Teachers offer no help and expect you to just know the curriculum "you should've learned that at your old school". Homework is overload and do not expect anytime for anything else while enrolled at this school. Not worth the stress and depression. You can get accepted to an amazing 4 year university with the support of counselors and teachers who show you that they care. Don't expect that from YWLA.

My overall experience was one that I could never forget. The environment at YWLA is so loving and caring. The teachers are always there for you no matter what, they are welling to help you in a drop of a penny. During the seven years I been there, I created a family that no one will understand but my YWLA sisters. The bond there is so strong that you feel conformable asking questions, going to tutoring and asking for help. There were times were I wanted to give up but my YWLA family picked me right back up because they wanted me to succeed in life. Now I am going to a four year university and I could not do it without them. They prepared me for college so much and I am ready. The most hardest things I had to do was leaving that school because I left my second family and home. Now I have to grow up as a young woman and I could not have done it without this school.

In my experience at this school, I would never place such pain and mental illness on anyone. I went back to my home school 3 months ago, and after i went to the therapist I was diagnosed with Anxiety and depression. Many of my friends turned on me due to stress and i was left with 1 or 2 friends who...

Would I actually recommend this school, maybe. This reason is if you would want your kid to get great education then yeah go ahead but you have to realize that your gonna be staying up all night, your gonna be happy if you get at the most 8 hours of sleep, and your probably gonna get a bunch of assi...

My experience as a student that goes here, i would NOT recommend this school for anyone. This school is horrible and the staff members that work here are not supportive at all maybe only like 2-3 teachers are but the rest aren't. Two teachers had gotten fired from this school for "doing the wrong th...
