Overall I had a good experience. Cell phones during class should be prohibited. It was a big distraction. Some teachers did not teach, only assigned work. The baseball program was horrible and was based on coach's favorites which caused us to not make playoffs my senior year. I would like to see policies on cell phone usage changed.

The best part of Southside I would say is the amount of college classes they offer. It has allowed me to finish a significant amount of my freshman year of college. They also offer a large number of extracurriculars. For the most part, the worst thing about Southside are the students that come. The cafeteria is always filled with trash because people don't pick up after themselves, and the bathrooms are always a mess. People also often go into the bathrooms to vape and smoke which I believe needs to change.

Overall, I had a pretty good high school experience at Southside. I've had some negative experiences with items in the school lunch being expired (milk, strawberry jam). But otherwise, most of my teachers were very helpful and there was plenty of engaging events that kept up the school spirit.
