"They've torn down the North DeKalb Mall and began building a massive, mixed-use development. It's going to be called the Lulah Hills. It's a huge thing, and that's a big change for that part of town." The area earns its name from the Valley Brook Estates subdivision to the west and Lindmoor Woods to the east. The area has a mix of single-family homes, townhouses and apartment complexes. Most detached residences are single-story or split-level houses perched on gently sloping lots.
