Casa De Carlos, located eight miles east of Downtown Tucson, is a neighborhood near the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains. This area features Southwestern-style homes and provides easy access to the Pantano River Park Trail, part of the extensive 130-plus-mile Chuck Huckelberry Loop. The trail is popular for walking, cycling, and horseback riding. Fort Lowell Park, a historic site listed in the National Register of Historic Places, is also within the neighborhood. The park includes the Fort Lowell Museum, showcasing exhibits from the late 1800s, and offers recreational facilities such as ball fields, tennis courts, and an outdoor swimming pool.

Casa De Carlos residents have convenient access to stores and restaurants along East Grant Road, including Costco Wholesale, Target, and Albertsons. The neighborhood is known for its Mexican dining options, such as Paco’s for breakfast burritos, Amelia’s for a variety of Mexican dishes, and The Quesadillas for its namesake specialty. The area is safer than the national average. While there are no major highways within Casa De Carlos, residents can use the Sun Tran bus or drive to reach Downtown Tucson and access Interstates 10 and 19.
