Why Live in Presley Heights
In 1935, music royalty was born in Presley Heights — the King of Rock and Roll, to be specific. Elvis Presley and his family lived in the eastern Tupelo neighborhood before moving to Memphis when Presley was 13. Though he would largely hone his craft elsewhere, it was in his neighborhood — the one that now bears his name — where he was first introduced to music. Presley’s birthplace has been transformed into a museum celebrating his life and legacy, and tourists come from across the region to pay respects. The neighborhood has more to offer than nostalgia. The area’s hills give it a distinct feeling within Tupelo, and restaurants and bars line East Main Street. “I lived there for many years, and it is the most beautiful landscape and terrain that we have in Tupelo,” says Keith Henley, an owner and broker at Elite Realty. “It’s also conveniently located to downtown.” Presley Heights is primarily residential and has a mix of older ranch-style homes and New Traditional houses built in recent years. Ranch-style homes can range from $260,000 to $380,000, while New Traditional houses often go from $300,000 to $330,000. Properties commonly sit near Briar Ridge Road and Elvis Presley
