Uniontown's history dates to the founding of the US
The founding of Uniontown coincides with a very special day in American history: the signing of the Declaration of Independence. On July 4, 1776, Henry Beeson, who was a Quaker laid down roots in the area. The Historic National Road runs through Uniontown as well. “Uniontown is a growing city that is southbound of Pittsburgh,” says Jeff Dennis, Realtor with Re/Max Select Realty who primarily serves clients all over Fayette County. “It’s near Ohiopyle State Park, where you can go hiking and kayaking.
