Live an active beach lifestyle at Chic's Beach
Chic’s Beach is a waterfront residential community that overlooks the Chesapeake Bay. The area is also known by the locals as part of the “Chesapeake Beach neighborhood.” From watersports such as boating, jet skiing and fishing to the numerous beachfront seafood restaurants and floating boat bars, the locale’s proximity to the water has created a robust outing scene and an active lifestyle by the shores. “This is the place for coastal living; the waves are calm and kid-friendly, people ride around in their golf carts and the First Landing State Park is right by for nature outings,” says Craig Boyer, a Virginia Beach resident who has been servicing the Tidewater region as a Realtor and investment agent with All/Pros Realty Inc. for over 15 years. “Growing up I came to this beach often, and now I take my family and kids here. It’s more of a locals’ beach.”

Recreational outings along the shorelines of Virginia Beach
Removed from the flurry of activity and tourists at the Virginia Beach oceanfront, Chesapeake Beach Park offers the gentle waves and sandy shores of the Chesapeake Bay and is noted by locals as a quiet, relaxed beach to visit. Just south of the bay on the Lynnhaven River, the Pleasure House Point Natural Area encompasses 118 acres of tidal marsh, sand and maritime forest, providing residents the opportunity to enjoy the coastal habitats preserved in one of the area’s largest undeveloped parcels of land. About 5 miles to the north, the 2,888-acre First Landing State Park is located on Cape Henry. “You’ll see people riding bikes or jogging along the beautiful trails. Locals love to come here for camping, hiking, fishing and boating,” adds Boyer. In addition to the Chesapeake Bay, beachgoers can also enjoy myriad water activities by Lake Joyce, Lake Bradford and Chub Lake, and the Bayville Golf Club is right by Pleasure House Creek for golfing enthusiasts.
