Active farmland near two major cities

West Bridgewater, located between Boston and Providence, is a rural and residential area bordering the city of Brockton. Areas that enjoy the benefits of a nearby city while remaining primarily residential have been growing in popularity, and West Bridgewater is no exception. The town has new construction along with increasing commercial and industrial activity. There is also active farmland in the area, such as Matfield Maple Farm, which sells lambs and makes maple syrup, and family-run Stonecroft Farm, which offers riding lessons and sells and leases horses. Homes are situated on spacious lots with limited sidewalks lining the streets. Most front and back yards contain large trees with lawn decorations and the occasional tire swing. Backyards are often fenced in with in-ground pools.
