Located in Montgomery County

$548,380 Average Value

Rated in the top four suburbs in the Philadelphia area by Niche, West Conshohocken falls on the western side of the Schuylkill River, between Route 476 and the Schuylkill Expressway. Only 15 miles from Center City, Philadelphia, the neighborhood is a mix of city living and green spaces, featuring a multitude of dining options and a healthy dose of hometown pride. “West Conshohocken is its own tight-knit little community,” says Dylan Ostrow, a realtor with Erica Deuschle & Company Real Estate Team with Keller Williams Main Line.

West Conshohocken is located on a hill, with houses atop the hill enjoying views of trees and houses all the way down to the river. The streets are tree-lined and several parks dot the area. Houses in West Conshohocken vary between stand-alone colonials and attached town houses, with prices ranging from $400,000 for town houses to $750,000 for single-family colonials. Most houses have single car driveways, but those that don’t are provided with ample street parking.

Gridded streets give way to Saint Gert’s Park, a small park on a hill featuring a playground and running track with views of the surrounding town. Nearby Mackenzie Park offers basketball courts, soccer nets, and a covered sitting area with picnic benches and grills, making it perfect for recurring block parties for locals. “Since this is a small community, neighbors meet up at the parks nearby and enjoy spending time after work and school together,” says Ostrow.

Students in West Conshohocken attend schools in the Upper Merion School District, including Roberts Elementary School, Upper Merion Middle School and Upper Merion High School, rated A by Niche. Locals cheer on the Merion Vikings at high school football games, making sure to wear blue and gold to root for the home team.

School spirit isn’t the only pride West Conshohocken residents have in their community. West Conshohocken Borough honors its veterans by denoting their names and military photos on their Hometown Heroes flags, displayed on major roads throughout town. “West Conshohocken is known for its patriotic spirit, with parades and festivals for Memorial Day and Fourth of July,” says Ostrow. “There’s always something going on for locals to enjoy.”

For a taste of local cuisine and nightlife, try Catch 101, a seafood restaurant serving an ever-changing menu of seasonal dishes featuring fresh fish and crustaceans in a modern, intimate venue. When locals are in the mood for a beer, they head to WestSide Bar and Grill, offering a varied beer list and comforting American food, including burgers, wings, and their special West Conshy Hot Chicken sandwich.

With hometown pride, plenty of green spaces and great schools, there’s plenty to love about West Conshohocken.
