Xenia, the county seat of scenic Greene County, is a city known for its rich history and small-town charm. Located just 15 miles east of Downtown Dayton, this quiet community offers an idyllic combination of impressive outdoor options and excellent shopping and dining. Nicknamed the “City of Hospitality” — its name means “hospitality” in classical Greek — Xenia is also suffused with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. “It’s basically just a nice place to live,” says Realtor Rhonda Chambal, owner of Irongate Realtors. “There’s more shopping than you would think, the downtown area has some great restaurants, and the Greene County parks and trails are really extensive.”
